CHAMBERSBURG, PA, Sept. 6, 2005 -- On July 7, Hirschmann Automation and Control Inc. celebrated the inauguration of its Chambersburg, Pennsylvania facility with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Customers, local government officials and business leaders were in attendance for the event.

The ceremony celebrated the new organization of the Hirschmann Group. The Chambersburg location is the North American headquarters of the newly formed Hirschmann Automation and Control Co. (HAC). The new company combines the former PAT-ECS business (information and control systems for construction equipment) and Hirschmann's ANS business (industrial networking and industrial connectors) into a single entity.

"This new organization creates a more efficient and customer focused organization with common management and processes", stated Mark Hendel, president HAC North America.
