CALDWELL, NJ, May 25, 2006 -- The Borough of Caldwell unanimously voted to renew Hatch Mott MacDonald's contract to operate and maintain the Borough's 4.5 MGD sanitary wastewater treatment plant for an additional seven years. The contract, with an estimated value of $14 million will run from February 2006 through January 2013.
When complete, HMM Operating Services (HMMOS) will have continually operated the plant for 20 years. The Caldwell plant serves the municipalities of Caldwell, West Caldwell, North Caldwell, Essex Fells and Roseland with a combined population of over 65,000. HMM's relationship with the Borough is generally viewed as one of the most successful public/private operations relationships in New Jersey.
