DENVER, CO, April 26, 2007 -- CH2M HILL, a global full-service engineering, construction, and operations firm, today announced that in first quarter 2007 nearly 900 professionals were hired to staff a growing number of water, transportation, environmental and industrial projects worldwide.

"As a result, we are significantly increasing hiring efforts across the firm through targeted recruitment campaigns focused on hiring in industries such water, transportation, environmental and industrial. With staff projections continuing to rise year after year, a sophisticated talent acquisition strategy has been designed to help us acquire the right people with the right skills at the right time. The new talent acquisition model is closely aligned with our business strategy in order to meet our rapid growth projections."

Current openings include civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and process engineers, designers, procurement staff, construction managers, and technical publication staff. With offices across the country, CH2M HILL has employment opportunities nationwide, the largest numbers of openings being in the southwest and southeast.

More than 70 percent of quarter one hires occurred in the United States, 86 percent were full-time positions and 88 percent were external hires.
