DENVER, CO, April 2, 2007 -- CH2M HILL, a global full-service engineering, construction and operations firm, has named Daniel Hitchings vice president and principal program manager for the firm's Water Business Group.
In this role, Hitchings will work to expand program management delivery, as well as pursue and manage large water resources and environmental management programs. Other key responsibilities include managing business development pursuits and ensuring that CH2M HILL's reputation for quality project delivery and client satisfaction is maintained.
Prior to joining CH2M HILL, Hitchings was regional business director for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Mississippi Valley Division and Mississippi River Commission. Throughout his more than 30-year career with the USACE, he was involved in numerous assignments including water resource planning; navigation and flood control project operations; construction engineering and contract administration; and engineering design and construction management.

A registered professional engineer, Hitchings received a BS degree in water resources engineering from Pennsylvania State University and a master of public administration degree from Harvard University.
