FORT COLLINS, CO, March 3, 2005 -- A 27-year commitment to technological innovation has earned In-Situ Inc. recognition as a premier manufacturer of environmental monitoring instruments.

From a startup of two employees in 1978, the company has grown to become a major manufacturer of portable water quality and water level instrumentation. In 2004 the company moved to a new 35,000 square foot building in Fort Collins, Colorado - a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility including greatly expanded customer training and research and development facilities.

According to Bob Blythe, president and CEO of In-Situ, "Disciplined re-investment in research and process improvement continues to pay off as our company has recently seen record increases for both revenue and net profit." Blythe explained that the accelerating revenue growth is the result of both increased customer excitement over the TROLL product series and the ability to quickly react to market demand.

With its new headquarters in Fort Collins Colo., In-Situ is able to meet fulfillment demands of record sales as well as plan for new product introductions. Striving for continual product innovation, the company has regularly introduced new and patented products into the water market.

In-Situ has recently introduced a family of rugged water quality probes, which are accurate and exceptionally easy to use, waterproof field data readers, intuitive software and a number of accessory options. The company is currently developing a new suite of integrated instrumentation, which will be introduced incrementally over the next 12 months. It is advances like these that allow In-Situ customers to complete their work efficiently and have confidence in their data.

In-Situ has a worldwide distribution network and does business in over 70 countries. They have accumulated a wealth of manufacturing experience in a variety of different device applications, primarily in the fields of water level and water quality. Instruments manufactured by In-Situ are used daily by consultants and engineers to monitor compliance with government regulations as well as to improve process control.

Recent noteworthy product installations include the deployment of thousands of mini TROLL water level probes in an industrializing nation, providing a key hydrologic monitoring system around the Aswan dam in Egypt and large-scale deployments of the Multi-Parameter TROLL 9000 probe to monitor the water quality of mining applications in Latin America and nuclear waste disposal sites in Europe and the United States. The company also prides itself in the ability to contribute to worldwide environmental disaster recovery efforts as the needs arise.

Around the world, governments and citizens are recognizing the impact of human activities on the natural environment. People are increasingly concerned about living conditions - with clean, safe water being a primary demand. In both industrialized and developing nations the expertise of professionals is required to protect and ensure the safety of groundwater and surface water resources. In-Situ's mission is to provide these experts with the tools they need for reliable, accurate assessment of current and long-term site conditions.
