March 9, 2005 (PRNewswire & Business Wire) -- The following personnel moves have been announced recently by Wilo-EMU USA, Zenon Environmental, Elpro Technologies, Met-Pro, Best Best & Krieger, WK Dickson, CUNO, Lilker Associates, WaterHealth International and Air Liquide:

Wilo-EMU USA LLC has named Terry Rouse, who has been EMU general manager for over seven years, as president and CEO. EMU is based in Thomasville, Ga., and provides heavy-duty municipal and industrial pumps for water and sewage treatment applications. Up until recently its products were distributed to the U.S. marketplace through a unit of USFilter. German-based EMU (www.emu.de) is part of the Wilo Group, which is one of the world's leading pump manufacturers.

Oakville, ON, Canada's Zenon Environmental Inc. announced that the Hon. Frank McKenna has resigned from the company's board of directors and his position as lead board director. McKenna has been appointed as Canada's Ambassador to the United States. Zenon (www.zenon.com) is a leader in providing advanced membrane products and services for water purification, wastewater treatment and water reuse to municipalities and industries worldwide.

Due to Elpro Technologies' rapid growth in the North American market, it recently appointed Frank Williams as alliance manager for the region, based in its new U.S. headquarters in San Diego. He has over 28 years of industrial market and application experience, including prior positions as CEO of Action Instruments Inc. and Global marketing Inc. Australia-based Elpro Technologies Pty Ltd. (www.elprotech.com), an industrial wireless solutions company since 1983, exports to over 50 countries. U.S. customers are serviced by over 45 distributors and an established network of sales representatives.

Vincent J. Verdone, general manager of the Met-Pro Corp.'s Stiles-Kem Division and Pristine Hydrochemical Inc. subsidiary, has been named a vice president of the company. With degrees from Northern Illinois and Roosevelt universities, as well as 25 years experience in the specialty chemicals market, Verdone was named GM on Feb. 4. Met-Pro (www.met-pro.com) is based in Harleysville, Pa. With 10 divisions and five subsidiaries, it manufactures and sells product recovery and pollution control equipment for purification of air and liquids and fluid handling equipment for corrosive, abrasive and high-temperature liquids. Stiles-Kem and Pristine Hydrochemical provide proprietary chemicals for the treatment of municipal drinking water systems and boiler and cooling tower systems.

Roderick E. Walston, former acting solicitor of the U.S. Department of the Interior, has joined the California law firm of Best Best & Krieger (www.bbklaw.com) as counsel in the firm's Walnut Creek office. Walston has extensive experience in the areas of natural resources and environmental law, having served both as a litigator for state regulatory agencies in California and as a manager of litigation for federal and state agencies in these areas. He has particular expertise in water rights and water quality law. Walston received the prestigious "Public Lawyer of the Year Award" from the California State Bar last year. Riverside, Calif.-based BB&K's Environmental and Natural Resources Practice Group provides a full range of legal services to both public and private entities, with special focus on water rights and habitat conservation plans.

Charlotte, N.C.-based engineering consultant WK Dickson (www.wkdickson.com) has added to its senior leadership in the Water Resources Group with the appointment of Daniel K. Shabeldeen, PE, as it's newest senior project manager. With over 20 years of experience as an environmental and water resources engineer with private consulting firms and as a field geologist in geophysical oil and gas exploration, he'll also assume responsibilities as the assistant manager of the Hickory Branch office. His extensive portfolio includes the management and design of water and wastewater treatment plants, planning and design of water reclamation systems, and design and construction administration of numerous municipal stormwater management improvements. He holds degrees from the University of South Florida and the University of Tennessee and is active with ASCE, APWA and AWWA.

CUNO Inc., of Meriden, Conn., promoted Kathleen Rossi to vice president and treasurer, an elected corporate officer position. She'll report to Fred Flynn, senior vice president and CFO. She holds degrees in accounting and taxation from the University of Florida, and has held positions with Claire's Stores Inc., Ryder Systems Inc. and Ernst & Young LLP before joining CUNO in 2001. CUNO (www.cuno.com) is a world leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of a comprehensive line of filtration products for the separation, clarification and purification of liquids and gases.

Lilker Associates, a New York City-based MEP and technology engineering firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of four senior-level staff professionals.
Formerly senior associate and senior electrical engineer, Martin Bowen, PE, is now a principal of the firm and associate department head of the electrical department. Steven Hammer, PE, now a principal, was formerly project manager and senior HVAC engineer. Promoted from director to principal of Lilker's Technology Solutions Group (TSG), Morais Miranda, RCDD, has presided over the group's successful expansion, nationwide, since it debuted in 2001. And David Tanenbaum has been promoted to senior associate and associate department head of the mechanical department.

Kim Denney is appointed president of Air Liquide America L.P., the cylinder gas, equipment and analytical services business line for Paris-based Air Liquide (www.airliquide.com) in the United States. She was promoted from vice president of supply chain and has been with the company for 10 years, with earlier positions at E.I. DuPont, Quantum Chemical Co. and the USI Division of National Distillers and Chemicals.
