BURLINGTON, MA, Aug. 29, 2005 -- Philip Kuszpa and George Lipka, P.E., have joined EBI Consulting, a national environmental, engineering, and health and safety consulting firm, as senior program directors in EBI's Environmental Health & Safety Services Group.
In his new role, Kuszpa is involved in environmental engineering and permitting and air quality compliance of industrial, cogeneration, and power projects at EBI Consulting. Lipka is now responsible for project management of major multi-disciplinary permitting efforts, environmental engineering and conceptual design studies, industrial permitting activities, technical and modeling studies, and coordination of field testing programs.
Kuspa has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Central New England College. He previously worked as a senior program manager in air quality engineering. He has a diverse background in the field of air pollution control systems including development of highly specialized emission control systems for waste-to-energy, medical waste incineration, pulp and paper, secondary aluminum, fiberglass, and other industrial sectors. He has more than 25 years of experience that include a balance of in-house technical expertise, hands-on field applications, regulatory filings, regulatory guidance, and marketing.

Lipka has been a leader in the environmental engineering field for over 30 years, and has extensive experience in the licensing and permitting of energy and industrial facilities. As an environmental engineer he has a wide variety of experience in conceptual design of environmental control systems as well as related industrial environmental permitting and studies. Lipka's experience also includes extensive involvement with environmental regulations and permitting strategies, modeling calculations, technical studies, and preparation of study reports and impact statements.

Lipka is a licensed professional engineer in Massachusetts, Florida, Maine, and New York. He holds both a bachelor's and master's degree in environmental engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He's also the author of several technical articles on environmental licensing, emissions, and management.
