BILLERICA, MA, Sept. 6, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Millipore Corp. announced today that Jean-Paul Mangeolle, currently with Millipore, has been named president of its Bioprocess Division. He reports directly to Martin Madaus, Millipore chairman, CEO and president.
In his new role, Mangeolle will lead the development and execution of the division's growth strategy, with marketing, sales, R&D and business development responsibilities. Millipore's Bioprocess Division contributes 60 percent to Millipore's overall business revenues and employs about 820 people worldwide. The division offers tools, technologies and services that optimize the development and manufacturing of biotherapeutics.
Martin Madaus, who has been the acting head of Millipore's Bioprocess Division, said: "Jean-Paul is a results-oriented and focused senior executive with a great track record. His understanding of the bioprocess markets and his leadership capabilities make him a strong fit for this critical position. Most recently, Mangeolle has served as Vice President, Worldwide Field Operations for the Bioprocess Division, responsible for the Division's process development and engineering services, and its worldwide sales operations. Mangeolle also was responsible for the creation and leadership of the Process Monitoring Tools business unit within the division. He worked at Mykrolis Corp., a spin-off of the Microelectronics Division of Millipore, from 2001 to 2002. Prior to that he had senior management roles in Millipore's Microelectronics and Laboratory Water Divisions, and in Millipore's Asian Operations.
Jean-Paul Mangeolle holds a master's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Montpellier, in Montpellier, France, and a bachelor's degree in environmental engineering from the University of Chambery in Chambery, France.
