URS wins Homeland Security contract worth up to $13 million

SAN FRANCISCO, April 5, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- URS Corp.'s EG&G Division has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to provide operations and maintenance support at the U.S. Center for Domestic Preparedness Chemical Ordnance Biological Radiological Training Facility (CDP COBRATF) at Anniston, Ala. The CDP COBRATF currently is the only known toxic-agent training facility in the world training first responders to natural and man-made disasters.

EG&G has been the prime contractor at the facility for over 13 years. Under the terms of the new contract, which the Company recently won in a re-competition, EG&G will provide operations and maintenance services including maintaining buildings and grounds, and disposing of all waste generated at the CDP COBRATF. The contract includes one base year and four additional one-year option periods, for a total of five years. The contract has a maximum value of $13 million if all option years are exercised.
