European environment agency launches SERIS - state of the environment reporting information system

The European Environmental Agency has launched SERIS, or State of the Environment Reporting Information System.


April 22, 2003 -- The European Environmental Agency has launched SERIS, or State of the Environment Reporting Information System.

SERIS is a database of national state of the environment reports from 52 nations. The database contains brief publications details for recent (1997 onwards) reports for countries included in the Kiev report.

SERIS contains links to the reports and to the main organization involved in the report. Reports can be identified by their geographic coverage or the year of publication. National and multi-national reports are included in the database.

The database is published on the web at http://countries.eea.eu.int/ for users to quickly identify and locate recent SoE reports.
