Eisenhardt joins AMEC's Raleigh office as manager

James M. Eisenhardt, PWS (Professional Wetlands Scientist), has joined AMEC's Earth & Environmental office in Raleigh as Department Manager/Senior Consultant.


Raleigh, N.C., February 21, 2003 -- James M. Eisenhardt, PWS (Professional Wetlands Scientist), has joined AMEC's Earth & Environmental office in Raleigh as Department Manager/Senior Consultant.

He will be a valuable asset to AMEC's water resources clients at the state and municipal levels, and will help build the consulting capabilities of that office to serve AMEC's many governmental and commercial clients throughout North Carolina and the Southeast.

Eisenhardt brings a wealth of experience to AMEC. He is known as an expert in natural resources (wetlands/streams, coastal zone resources, endangered species, floodplains), and has a broad background across the spectrum of water quality programs and hazardous materials. He has extensive experience with regulatory issues on the state and federal levels, including environmental due diligence.

He is well-known throughout North Carolina and the Southeast, having been project manager on hundreds of stream/wetlands assessments and water quality studies, including major watershed projects. He also is known for his ability to handle one-of-a-kind challenges, including environmental feasibility projects and program/policy development and management for commercial and public entities (telecommunications, mining, aviation, transportation, land development, municipal and state departments).

He began his consulting career in 1986 with Joseph L. Lomax & Associates in Cape May, New Jersey. In 1994 he joined Kimley-Horn in their Raleigh office to develop their environmental/water resources practice in North Carolina/ and the Southeast.

Eisenhardt holds a Master's Degree in Biology from Bucknell University. He resides in the Raleigh area and is active in several professional associations, including the National (and North Carolina) Association of Floodplain Managers, Society of Wetlands Scientists, National (and North Carolina) Association of Environmental Professionals, and the Water Environmental Federation.
