Laboratory of Bürkert accredited as UL test facility

In accordance with ISO/IEC 17025, the laboratory of Bürkert was accredited by Underwriters Laboratories in early December 2013.

Jan. 28, 2014 -- In accordance with UL LLC Data Acceptance Program, the laboratory of the fluid technology specialist Bürkert was approved for participation in the Data Acceptance Program by Underwriters Laboratories (UL LLC), the United States testing and certification organization, in early December 2013.

The approval occurred within the framework of the UL Client Test Data Program (CTDP), a process that allows manufacturers to acquire test data relevant for certification in their own adequate testing facilities. The test data and all necessary documents, as well as a suitable test item are then sent to UL for evaluation. This procedure significantly advances the UL certification procedure.

The approval now makes it easier and faster to have Bürkert products certified according to UL. "It is the basis for fast and cost-effective intercontinental certification processes and also serves to confirm that our lab conforms to all international norms and standards," said Jens Fuhrmann, Team Coach, Approval Management Corporate Quality.
