VANCOUVER, BC, Canada, Sept. 15, 2009 -- Entries are now open for the 8th edition of the GLOBE Awards for Environmental Excellence, presented annually to extraordinary companies and industry groups from across the country that have shown an exceptional ability to balance competitive strategies and sustainable development.
The 2010 GLOBE Awards will be presented during GLOBE 2010, being held in Vancouver, Canada, March 24 to 26, 2010. Deadline for award submissions is January 31, 2010.
Every year the GLOBE Foundation proudly supports profitable Canadian companies that have demonstrated the ability to prevent and mitigate environmental risks while leveraging commercial opportunities. These companies achieve success by integrating sustainability into their corporate strategy and operations while remaining competitive in the business environment. Considered to be the most high-profile national awards series of its type, the GLOBE awards are judged by a panel of experts recognized as leaders in the Canadian business community.
