Chinn, Plattsmier, Principe join HDR water leadership team

OMAHA, NE, April 27, 2007 -- HDR announced three key appointments to its water business group leadership team.

T. David Chinn, P.E., senior vice president. Chinn's responsibilities include leading the company's water treatment desalination initiatives. Prior to rejoining HDR, he was vice president for global initiatives with ZENON Environmental, Inc. Chinn held various positions within HDR from 1995 to 2003, including national director of drinking water. His prior experience also includes serving as assistant director for governmental affairs for the American Water Works Association. He is based in the Austin, Texas office. He serves on the AWWA International Relations Committee and Arsenic Task Force, and is active in the National Society of Professional Engineers and American Society of Professional Engineers, where he serves as the Texas state director.

John Plattsmier, P.E., national business class director of pipelines. He will lead HDR's programs in the water transmission/distribution and collection/conveyance disciplines, and will be responsible for developing technical resources and responding to client needs from planning through construction. Prior to joining HDR, he was the design services director of MWH, where his responsibilities included managing a team of engineers and designers on a wide range of global projects. He also served as civil design discipline director, where he established civil discipline design standards and provided staff training. He is based in the Denver office.

Michael Principe, Ph.D., section manager/business group leader for water resources in the New York metropolitan area. Prior to joining HDR, Principe was the deputy commissioner/director of the Bureau of Water Supply with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection. He is a member of AWWA and the Water Environment Federation and has served on several regional organizations including the Delaware River Basin Commission and New York City Watershed Partnership & Protection Council . He is based in the Pearl River, N.Y. office.
