Mountain View, CA, Jan. 22, 2004 -- ESP (Environmental Software Providers) has announced that McWane Inc. will implement an ASP version of its opsEnvironmental software for environmental management and regulatory compliance.

McWane, a manufacturer of cast iron pipes, valves, fire hydrants, and other fittings for the North American water infrastructure, will deploy the opsEnvironmental software throughout its entire operations, comprising approximately 30 facilities throughout the US and Canada.

The externally hosted environmental data management system will help McWane manage and report on environmental data and assure compliance with federal, state and corporate environmental requirements.

"McWane is installing a corporate-wide environmental data management system as part of our commitment to the three principles of environmental compliance, environmental protection, and continual improvement in environmental performance," said Charles Nowlin, VP and Controller at McWane.

"We conducted a rigorous review of the available software products, and we were impressed by the very high level of customer satisfaction we encountered among users of the opsEnvironmental software. It became clear to us that this product has a stronger track record than any other we looked at in helping companies manage their environmental programs efficiently and effectively."

ESP's opsEnvironmental software is used to help Fortune 1000 companies in a variety of industries manage their environmental compliance programs and uphold commitments to environmental stewardship. Its web-based tools simplify and streamline environmental tracking and reporting. The software promotes proactive approaches to compliance management through such features as automated e-mail ticklers which notify staff the instant emissions thresholds are triggered or compliance tasks are due to be completed. opsEnvironmental also helps companies easily track and report on a variety of corporate environmental metrics.

"Our software has been helping companies effectively take charge of their environmental programs for over 12 years now, and we're pleased to add McWane to our customer list," said David Cox, Vice President of Sales at ESP. "McWane's decision to implement a corporate-wide environmental data management system demonstrates environmental leadership and a clear and long-term commitment to excellence in their environmental program. We look forward to working with them for many years to come."

opsEnvironmental is the industry-leading software solution for enterprise environmental management. The software allows companies manage air, water, and waste data. Its open architecture allows integration with other data collection, maintenance management and enterprise resource management systems, and its enterprise design makes it ideal for multi-facility companies.
