As one of the oldest water technology events, Aquatech once again returns to Amsterdam to bring the global water industry together. What can visitors expect this year?
The success of Aquatech Amsterdam is primarily defined by the international reputation the show acquired since its first edition in 1964. It is the oldest and the largest trade show on water technology in the world and companies from around the globe are eager to get on board.
Innovation Centre Stage
Aquatech is all about innovation. From all around the world exhibitors are working to present their latest innovation in Amsterdam, eager to use this international stage to boost attention. The winner of the Aquatech Innovation Award will be announced during the Monday evening, the day before the show. Winners and nominees will present in the InnovationLAB and innovations focused on Circular Economy are to be showcased in the BlueTech Innovation Pavilion. The new Innovation Avenue is another hub for those looking for new products and solutions.
New at Aquatech
The content at Aquateersecurity and Business Strategy will be integrated on the AquaStage, in the InnovationLAB and throughout the show in general. With over 70 percent of visitors flying and driving in from other countries, Aquatech is expecting an international attendance. The majority is expected to originate from Europe with interest from Asia, US and the Middle East is rising rapidly.
ch is based on new developments and the advice of the exhibition committee, captains of industry and experts in their field. “Next to the familiar country pavilions, Industrial User Experience, Pumps & Process Plaza, we have newly added the Desalination Pavilion and Smart Water Networks Pavilion,” says Marieke Leenhouts, exhibition director for Aquatech Amsterdam.
“There will also be Circular Economy Lounge and the InnovationLAB will have an “Experiences-area” with prototypes and demos and connect to the new Innovation Avenue. Underlining the importance of innovations crucial to the future of the water market.”
The water sector is undergoing major changes. Innovation is and always has been top of the agenda. On top of that Aquatech 2017 will discuss the trending topics of water management, including: Circular Economy, Climate Change, Pollution Control, Resilient Cities, High-Techn, Energy, IT & Cyb
Guided tours and matchmaking
For the first time Aquatech will organise guided tours and a matchmaking service. Visitors with a specific interest in Circular Economy, Smart Cities, Urban Resilience and/or Innovation can join guided tours of the show tailored to these interests. Another new additional service is matchmaking. Visitors can pre-arrange networking and business appointments with exhibitors, as well as other visitors and speakers, based on interests and profile.
Floodex Europe
For the fourth time Aquatech is part of the Amsterdam International Water Week (AIWW) - a platform for water professionals around the world including a conference, a young professionals programme, social events and - new this year - Floodex Europe Launch Event. This last event covers water level management and flood control and consists of a compact programme, with four elements, a tour, a knowledge programme, a networking gathering and a site visit.
