The Hammonds 80-P Vortex Tablet Chlorination SystemHOUSTON, TX, Oct. 21, 2009 -- Deep in the heart of Texas, Hammonds is celebrating the latest in a string of company high water marks -- literally. The Houston-based company has just earned the official endorsement from NSF International certifying their vortex tablet water chlorination system.

NSF International is the non-profit public health and safety company that certifies products and writes standards for food, water and consumer goods with an eye toward maintaining public health and safety.

"This is a big win for our company," said Carl Hammonds in making the announcement to industry. "And a big win for those cities, towns, and industry sectors who rely on our systems to keep their water supplies reliably chlorinated."

The NSF certification process is strictly voluntary, Hammonds added, and although time consuming, the NSF qualifying process guarantees consistent performance at the highest possible level of quality.

"We sought their seal of approval to highlight the tangible advantages of our water chlorination systems, and to encourage their use among a wider spectrum of users and applications," said Hammonds.

Add to that the growing public concern for clean water and environmental responsibility, and the company's need for NSF certification resonated even louder.

The Hammonds 80-P Vortex Tablet Chlorination System is the specific model certified by NSF International, according to Rick Richardson, VP of Sales and Marketing.

According to Richardson: "To our knowledge, we are the only manufacturer offering the industry a complete tablet chlorination system -- including metering pump -- that carries the NSF certification."

So what makes the Hammonds system superior to others?

"Our system takes the mystery out of on-site, tablet water chlorination," Richardson said. "It consists of a high energy vortex mixing chamber with no moving parts, which produces a precise measure of calcium hypochlorite solution using a positive displacement pump. It's Hammonds fluid technology at its best."

"We're very proud of this innovative system, and with the green light from NSF International, our future looks very promising," Richardson added.

The Hammonds 80-P Tablet Chlorination System covers a wide range of flows up to 2000 GPM and offers accurate and dependable chlorine injection consistently. In addition to this, the tablets are safer than bleach or gaseous chlorine that offers operators, cities, and municipal water districts safe and clean water.

Applications for the system are far and wide, according to company officials. In addition to potable water chlorination, it is ideal for many industrial applications, too, such as the poultry processing industry, pulp and paper and more.

The Hammonds Companies are owned by FabCorp, a leading global fabrication and machining company also headquartered in Houston. For more information, call (800) 582.4224 or click www.HammondsCos.com or www.WaterChlorination.com.
