Company Introduces New Compact Metering Pump
Milton Roy has introduced a compact mechanically actuated diaphragm metering pump, the MacRoy D series. The new pumps broaden the company's metering pump line, which includes the larger capacity MacRoy G.
"This line of pumps is particularly well-suited for industrial water and municipal water and wastewater applications because of its high performance, wide capacity range, durability and low maintenance," said Jim Carling, Milton Roy Product Manager.
Weighing just 45 pounds, the cast iron MacRoy D pump is capable of flow rates up to 312 gph and a maximum pressure rating of 175 psi. The pumps also feature high performance check valves with machined seats that maintain reliable, low flow performance.
The pumps use a metallic worm drive combined with a variable eccentric stroke adjustment mechanism that yields a steady state accuracy of
The simple design contributes to the MacRoy D pump's durability and ease of maintenance. A high efficiency, NEMA motor minimizes heat buildup and low friction bronze gears ensure a longer service life. Ball bearings and oil bath lubrication also reduce friction and heat rise in the drive. A two-part epoxy coating protects the pump from harsh conditions and chemical environments.
The MacRoy D Series pump features a choice of liquid ends that come in a variety of materials for diverse applications. Users can choose from PVDF, polypropylene, PVC and 316 stainless steel - all with PTFE, high performance diaphragms to increase longevity.
A precision lockable, manual stroke mechanism, designed to give users the ability to make adjustments whether the pump is running or stopped, has been incorporated into the pump's design. Options such as electronic capacity control, double diaphragms, and stroke counting are readily available.
Customers will find a variety of accessories available for the MacRoy D pumps, including pressure relief safety valves, back pressure valves, pulsation dampeners and calibration columns.
