Surface Preparation

A new process referred to as bristle blasting has recently been endorsed by Belzona for surface preparation in certain situations where grit blasting is not possible. Although all major coating manufacturers recommend abrasive grit blasting prior to coating in order to maximize adhesion, it is not always feasible. In an effort to identify a better alternative, Belzona has conducted extensive testing on a new piece of equipment know as the MBX Bristle Blaster.

Pipe rehabilitation

CuraFlo® offers two in-situ pipe renewal systems that improve water quality, increase flow and prevent corrosion-induced leaks in deteriorated metal and cement based pipes. Coating system

Sauereisen SewerGard No. 210S is a fiber-filled spray-applied material specifically designed to protect concrete and steel surfaces of municipal wastewater treatment structures from chemical attack and physical abuse. The coating’s application permits economical protection of new and rehabilitated substrates. When cured, it provides an impermeable, high strength, corrosion-resistant lining for manholes, lift stations, grit chambers, aeration basins, and related structures.

Corrosion proofing

Romtec Utilities offers several corrosion-proofing methods for its precast concrete pump stations. Tank preservation

Caldwell Tanks has expanded its capabilities to provide tank asset preservation (TAP) for the life of water storage structures. The company can provide full-service ongoing maintenance contracts (TAP-ON) or periodic inspections and clean-outs (TAP-IN). Newly constructed tanks are excellent candidates for the TAP-ON program. Tank coatings

The Corrosion Prevention Inspection company (CPI) can help increase the lifecycle of your infrastructure and facility by providing project management and inspection of all coating systems.
