Sealless pump line
Known for over 60 years of manufacturing innovative non-metallic sealless pumps, Iwaki America has introduced its 316 stainless steel metallic sealless pump line. Iwaki Sanwa will feature two series of pumps: the MP series will feature flows to 340 gallons per minute while the smaller MMP series will be a fractional horsepower series of pumps with flows to 24 gallons per minute. Both series incorporate 316 stainless steel construction, a one-piece non-welded rear casing and silicon carbide “D” bearings allowing for limited dry run operation.

Wedge gate valves
Mueller expands its 350 psi, AWWA/UL/FM-rated resilient wedge gate valve (RWGV) product line with a new end design that conforms to the ASME/ANSI dimensional requirements for Class 250/300 valves. Specifically, the flange and lay length (end-to-end) of the new Class 250/300 RWGV complies with ASME/ANSI B16.1, B16.42, B16.10, and PN25 drilling standards. This ductile iron valve is available in standard sizes from 3 to 12 inches, complies with the requirements of AWWA C509/C515 and NSF 61/372, and retains all competitive features of other 350 psi rated RWGVs including integrated lift lugs, a self-activating wedge seal and grade 316 stainless steel fasteners.

Gripping pipe restraint
Krausz USA’s HYMAX GRIP 16” restraint coupling is the first restraint product of its size with four top-facing bolts and a stab-fit, one-piece design. The top-facing bolts eliminate under-digging for space to crawl under the pipe to tighten bolts while the stab-fit, one-piece design allows for easier and faster installation, eliminating problems such as losing bolts in the mud. The patented GRIP chain offers circular restraint around the pipe, unlike typical wedge-style restraints that point-load the pipe and make it weaker. The GRIP’s patented radial closing mechanism holds pipes tightly in place during installation, allowing full control over the gap between pipes.

Dual-ball diverter system
The dual-ball diverter system from Titan Flow Control is designed with two stainless-steel balls that efficiently divert the pipeline flow from one basket chamber to the other. Teflon seats ensure a positive seal and help to prevent seepage into the chamber that is being serviced for cleaning. The dual ball design isolates each chamber and keeps the servicing chamber dry during cleaning. There are no special tools required to access and remove the straining element from the chamber.

Wireless pressure gauge
Emerson Automation Solutions has introduced the industry’s first WirelessHART® pressure gauge. The Rosemount Wireless Pressure Gauge enables remote collection of field data, keeping operators updated on changing field conditions and improving personnel safety by reducing manual operator rounds and field exposure. It utilizes field-proven piezoresistive sensor technology to deliver reliable pressure readings. With the flexibility to accommodate changing process conditions, the Wireless Pressure Gauge also gives up to 150X overpressure protection compared to traditional gauges, which provides for a safer field environment by using two layers of process isolation.

Free space radar level transmitters
Endress+Hauser’s FMR10 and FMR20 free space radar level transmitters measure liquid levels in storage tanks, open basins, open channels, weirs and canal systems. The FMR10 measures liquid levels at ranges up to 16 feet with 0.2-inch accuracy, while the FMR20 measures levels up to 66 feet with 0.08-inch accuracy. Both work in process temperatures of -40 to +176°F and process pressures of -14 to 43 psi, are vibration resistant, and have CSA/UL approvals.

Water quality monitoring at all levels
LG Sonic has been working on the development of a new solution, MPC-Lab, to monitor water quality at different depths in a water body. LG Sonic MPC-Lab will combine the most innovative methods to monitor water quality and can be pre-set to take samples from different depths and measure any parameters on the platform. For data transmission with the MPC-View water quality software, the system will use GPRS, 3G, or satellite. The software provides real-time insights into water quality and allows users to set up specific alarms to inform about changing parameters or maintenance activities.

Protec-Arisawa’s Center Port RO with feed/concentrate ports in center as well as ends allow more flexibility in the design of the RO array. Splitting flow allows for a membrane array that avoids having high-feed flow and corresponding pressure drop in the membranes. By using shorter membrane length of 3 or 4 membranes and distributing the feed flow to the membranes in a more efficient manner, operating pressures can be reduced.
