YSI, which provides data collection and analysis products and services for the water monitoring market, will feature several new products at WEFTEC 05. They include the company’s upgraded line of Professional Series water quality sampling instruments; water profiling systems; portable drinking water probes for monitoring distribution systems; acoustic Doppler flow meters from SonTek/YSI; and EcoNet, a web-enabled data monitoring and management system.
The Professional Series, a family of spot sampling instruments, has been designed to address customer requests. These handheld instruments measure many combinations of parameters, such as dissolved oxygen, pH, ammonium, chloride, and nitrate. Additional features include user-selectable cable lengths, rubber over-molded case for increased ruggedness, one-button calibration, and graphic display with detailed instructions.
Source water monitoring can be fully automated with YSI’s vertical profiling systems. Users can select depth and sampling intervals as well as fixed, buoy, or pontoon mounting options.
Portability is a key feature of the company’s new Drinking Water Multiprobes. The 6920DW and 600DW-B with flow cells are simple to use and easy to move throughout a drinking water distribution system to collect data, including free chlorine measurements.
The Argonaut-SW, from SonTek YSI, measures continuous flow in open channels through acoustic Doppler technology. The compact instrument measures velocity and depth from 0.3 to 5.0 meters in irrigation canals, pipes and culverts, and natural streams.
EcoNet, a new data service from YSI, helps users access and manage water quality data from anywhere. Once a network of small monitoring stations is installed, real-time data is reported to a secure web site. This accurate and comprehensive view allows users to make critical decisions.
