Restrained sleeve
The EBAA Iron Series RS3800 Restrained Sleeve is an economical alternative to harnessing unrestrained repair-type couplings. It's versatility permits use on ductile iron, steel and PVC pipe (AWWA C-900 and ASTM 2241) in diameters from 4 in. through 12 in. Assembly can be made with up to five degrees deflection. The restrained sleeve consists of a fusion-bonded epoxy sleeve body and a pair of restraint rings with integral gripping wedges with torque-limiting twist-off nuts to ensure proper actuating of the restraint rings. Corrosion-resistant, low-alloy, high-strength threaded connecting studs and nuts meet the requirements of ANSI/AWWA C111/A21.11

Magmeters
Krohne introduces the Tidalflux, a magmeter designed to measure volumetric flow in both full and partially filled process pipes. The instrument answers a need of many municipal, water and wastewater treatment applications. The magmeter is combined with an independent capacitive level measuring system. This combined measurement is capable of providing accurate flow rates of process fluids in pipes from 10% full to completely full. Its design incorporates a polyurethane liner with HC4 Hastelloy electrodes.

Sampling system
The new Global Water WS300 with Ice Bag Option can keep wastewater samplers cold, which prevents decomposition in the samplers. The option is helpful for BOD sampling or any other application that requires cold samples. The sample is time weighted, and the sample quantity and interval is user defined.

Nitrate measurement
Water and wastewater treatment facilities can automatically measure and control nitrate concentrations, while insuring government compliance and reducing operational costs, with the Endress + Hauser Stamosens in-line nitrate measurement system. The Stamosens CNS 70 nitrate sensor and the CNM 750 transmitter are specifically designed to measure the nitrate content of water and wastewater (including activated sludge). The self-compensating, multi-beam technology eliminates the need for chemicals and pumps. In wastewater plants with a two step operating system, the instrument can be used to control the internal sludge re-circulation ratio.

On-site chlorine gas
Klorigen™ on-site generators (OSG) from Electrolytic Technologies are constructed of NSF approved materials. Electrolytic membrane cells generate high purity chlorine gas and sodium hydroxide. The raw materials required are salt, water and power. The principal advantage of the membrane cell is its efficiency and ability to separate the gas from the liquid.
