Flowline’s new LeveLink™ multi-channel control system is designed to provide level measurement, monitoring and control of chemical bulk storage, day tanks and process vessels. As many as eight tanks can be monitored and automated with up to eight transmitter and eight switch inputs and eight relay output channels with just one control unit.
Compared to a PLC, LeveLink does not require equivalent programming and/or configuration setup. It also allows for the integration of a broader set of technologies into one controller/service that includes level, flow and analytical measurement.
The LCD digital display provides local access to all calibration setpoints and ongoing process data. The eight relay channels may be configured on a single setpoint as an alarm, or latched on two different setpoints for automatic tank filling or emptying.
The tank system features local and remote password-protection with up to three levels of user access. It can log up to 64 days of historical and real-time process data, and the system’s diagnostic utility constantly scans each input and output channel to ensure fail-safe operation.
Packaged in a wall-mounted, polycarbonate enclosure, the system is rated NEMA 4X for both outdoor and indoor installation. Temperature range is minus 40 degrees F to 158 degrees F. An integral J-box provides wiring terminations for all power, sensor, relay, modem and RS-485 connections.
Communication Packages
For remote, around-the-clock data access and control of the level process, an optional modem can be combined with various communication software and Internet packages.
RAS™ remote access software is packaged with Flowline’s optional plug-in modem. RAS is a Windows®-based system which displays a graphical depiction of the LeveLink LCD display and numeric keypad. Once connected, users can remotely interface with the unit to commission the controller and view real-time data 24 hours a day.
Communication Packages
LeveLink is also fully compatible with the Weblink™ data web site. With the service, authorized users can access, view and download up to three years of data over the web. Weblink pages are customized to the requirements of each subscriber with real-time reports in chart and graph format. The alarm management package alerts subscribers to key process events by e-mail, fax or pager.
Communication Packages
LeveLink is also compatible with InfAct™ control center software, which is designed for technical users who want to manage process data. InfAct is a Windows-based program which provides advanced functions with an SQL database and alarm management package.
Communication Packages
These remote communications software packages enable users to calculate, assess, schedule and manage chemical logistics throughout one or multiple facilities. Operators can receive alarm notification to key events and remotely screen and calibrate LeveLink without having to drive to the location. This can be helpful in remote applications such as municipal pumping stations.
Communication Packages
Flowline manufactures a variety of plastic level transmitters, level switchs and leak detection sensors for use with LeveLink. Examples include the Echotouch level transmitter, a compact, non-contact sensor featuring a 24.5 foot range, 8 degree beam width, built-in relay, six inch dead band and push button calibration. Another is the Smart Trak adjustable mounting system, which allows users to install and adjust up to four level switches, of any technology, to any depth, along the entire length of the track.
