ECO Resources, Inc., a Southwest Water Company subsidiary, will generate approximately $3 million in revenues within a five-year period from four new water and wastewater contracts in the Austin, Texas, area, according to Southwest Water.
ECO Resources will provide operations, billing and collection, maintenance, meter reading and bookkeeping for more than 21,000 people at River Place, Wells Branch, Block House and Springwoods Municipal Utility Districts.
The company expanded its normal operations to include parks management, pool maintenance and deed restrictions enforcement for three of the utility districts.
Tony Garnier, president, attributes the multiple contract awards to the ECO Resources reputation for award-winning operations. The company was honored by the California Water Environment Association (CWEA) for its partnership with a Barstow, Calif., wastewater treatment facility. The facility was recognized by the CWEAs Desert and Mountain Section with an Engineering Achievement award for innovative design.
In February, ECO Resources entered into a five-year, $4.1 million operations and maintenance contract with Olive Branch, Miss. In January, the company secured a five-year, $2.3 million contract to operate and maintain the water and wastewater utility systems for Discovery Bay, a California community service district.
