The Louisville Water Company, a city-owned water utility serving 250,000 customers in Louisville, Kentucky, has selected Orcom?s Enterprise Customer Information System (E-CISTM) to support its customer service and billing initiatives.

The new system will allow Louisville Water to streamline customer service, automate many manual processes, maintain comprehensive customer history records and maximize staff productivity. In addition, the utility will be able to offer its customers a wider array of billing and payment options, including budget billing and summary billing. The software will replace a 30-year-old legacy system that does not provide the flexibility and technology Louisville Water needs to meet its customer service objectives.

Louisville Water Company is privately owned by the city of Louisville and employs 480 people. Louisville Water handles wastewater and drainage billing for the city?s Metropolitan Sewer District, in addition to its own billing, and consolidates the services on a single bill.
