Company to Showcase Hydrant Pressure Recorder
Telogs new hydrant pressure recorder, the HPR-2109e, stores water pressure data in solid state memory. The information can be downloaded to a Windows? database for reporting and troubleshooting applications.
The HPR installs on a standard 21/2 inch hydrant nozzle of common fire hydrants. It is battery operated and is so small it can fit in the palm of your hand. Once installed, the HPRs internal pressure transducer measures water pressure once every second, allowing users to capture major water hammer events.
The recorder can store 21,000 values before downloading is required. Utility workers can download readings directly to a laptop via a water tight RS-232 connector and a serial interface cable. Or, they can use Telogs hand held data transfer unit (DTU). Using the water tight RS-232 port, the DTU transfers and stores the data until it can be downloaded to a PC.
