Expansion joints

The Force Balanced Flex-Tend® Flexible Expansion Joint from EBAA Iron can accommodate pressure-induced thrust forces. It uses an additional water chamber piston that acts in the equal and opposite direction of the imparting thrust and neutralizes the thrust forces. This allows designers to use flexible expansion joints in applications where thrust blocks or other force-restricting devices are not applicable.

Dewatering system

EIMCO Water Technologies’ Linear Electro-Dewatering (LED) systems are designed to extract water from industrial and municipal sludge. The company’s Cinetik™ line of products rely on the combined action of a controlled mechanical pressure and electro-osmosis, where an electrical field generated inside the sludge liberates and carries away the water bonded to hydrophilic particles. Installed in a WWTP, after existing mechanical dewatering equipment, the units allow for high dryness levels (up to 50% TS), even for secondary and mixed biological sludge.
