Ultrasonic flowmeter
Spire Metering's Enduro Series EF12 solar-powered ultrasonic flowmeter provides an ideal solution for flow measurement applications in rural areas where electrical power is not accessible. It has a flash memory that can save the last 512 daily net flow values and the last 128 monthly net flow values. With an optional data logger, it can save large amounts of flow data. For remote areas where cellular wireless service is available, a GSM/GPRS modem can also be added to the device.
Blue-White's DIGI-METER® Micro-Flo with analog output displays flow rate and accumulated total flow and features 4-20 mA/0-10 VDC circuitries for low-flow applications. Units include an NPN open collector output for communication with SCADA systems, and flow ranges include 30-7,000 mL/min. Connection options include: 1/8", 1/4" and 1/2" threaded connection and 1/4" and 3/8" OD tubing connections.
Morgan Advanced Materials has launched a new best-in-class, 2-megahertz (MHz), water-coupled transducer for ultrasonic flow metering, offering improved sensitivity and ring-up time about 3 times shorter than alternative ultrasonic sensors. Customizable for any liquid measurement application from water metering to fuel flow, the sensor provides a high-receive signal over a very small area. With a diameter of only 20 millimeters, the new sensor offers space and material savings, while maintaining superior performance.
McCrometer has announced accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 through NVLAP. Accreditation of the company's calibration test stands gives its customers the extra assurance that the calibration accuracy of its V-Cone meter is accredited by a competent third party and represents proof of McCrometer's commitment to total product quality both in the U.S. and internationally.
Hayward Flow Control has announced the launch of its innovative and corrosion-resistant "Plug & Play" Instrumentation Products and Solutions featuring easy-to-install designs, thermoplastic construction, high accuracy, and measurement of processes. The Instrumentation now includes in-line and insertion-style paddlewheel flow meters, pressure gauges, level sensors, displays, and controls, as well as surge suppressors. All products are made with high-performance thermoplastic materials to measure and regulate system performance in demanding corrosive environments and chemical systems.
Tideflex Technologies provides its TF-1 Check Valve, a duckbill check valve where the bill is formed into a curve that returns to a closed position every time, achieving the tightest possible seal for backflow operations, particularly at low flow rates. The eccentric, flat-bottom design allows installation where the invert of the pipe is close to the floor. The stronger engineered spine provides long-term performance while handling water weight. When specifying the TF-1, operators are guaranteed a proven record of maintenance-free backflow prevention.
Sierra has announced a comprehensive upgrade to its InnovaSonic Ultrasonic Transit-Time Flow Meters for water and other liquid flow measurement applications. The company has redesigned its entire ultrasonic flow meter product line to use similar components and improve usability, with the 203, 205i and 210i having updated dual-function keys. This allows Sierra to pass significant cost savings with improved precision measurement.
Noncontact's BTUM-1A logger is ideal for energy/BTU monitoring and surveys. It accepts a 4-20 mA signal from any portable or dedicated flow meter. The kit includes easy-to-use software and two strap-on precision 100Ω RTDs with a thermo couplant, mounting tape, USB cable, and a 250-million-data-point data logger.
