Gas detection system

The Jupiter gas detection system (Model HVS4000) monitors and reports information about hazardous and toxic gases to a SCADA monitoring systems. Its features include a sensor life indication, two (250 vAC - 8 amp) settable internal relays, a three-digit display, dual MODBUS connections and 4-20 mA proportional gas level output. The microprocessor-based system detects most toxic gases in parts per million (ppm), including: Ammonia, Carbon Monoxide, Chlorine, Chlorine Dioxide, Ozone, and Sulfur Dioxide as well as Oxygen deficiency.

Turbine meter totalizer

Accutech, a division of Control Microsystems, has announced the launch of the TM10 Turbine Meter Totalizer, a battery powered, wireless instrument that offers flow rate and total accumulated flow volume data for standard turbine meters. The unit measures the volumetric flow rate of liquids or gases by detecting the frequency of pulses generated with a standard turbine meter and applying a user-configured proportional "K" factor.

Ultrasonic flow meter

The new Portaflow PT500 Transit Time Flow Meter from Greyline is designed for clean liquids like water, oils and most chemicals and is used for troubleshooting, spot checks and balancing flow. Strap-on sensors mount on the outside of plastic or metal pipes and ultrasonic signals are injected through the pipe between the two sensors. It works on any pipe diameter from 0.51 to 78" OD. Features include a large, backlit graphics display, 4-20mA output, data logger, RS232 and USB outputs, a user-friendly operating system with "Quick Start" calibration menu, plus ability to store calibrations for up to 20 different sites.

Nitrate sensor

Pump, injection controller

HM Digital's new dual control pump/injection controller (model CIC-152) allows users to monitor and control TDS/EC levels within a specific range. The controller can be wired to activate a device such as a pump, solenoid valve, external light, etc. if the TDS/EC level rises above or falls below the user-defined maximum and minimum. Operator's console recorder

Longwatch offers the Operator's Console Recorder, a software module that automatically records images being shown on multiple HMI or SCADA operator's displays. The module takes its signals directly from each HMI screen's video software driver, so it records the actual video being sent to the HMI in a water treatment plant's control room. Propeller flow meter

Well, aquifer level control

OCV's new Well Commander Series provides control of well/aquifer levels to prevent over pumping. The system consists of up to three diaphragm actuated control valves, installed on the discharge of up to three separate wells, and a single, electronic multi-stage controller. Level monitoring

Hawk has introduced the Sultan 234 acoustic wave level transmitters, which can be powered using loop power (2-wire), 3, or 4 wire sources. These instruments emit an acoustic wave pulse, which is then reflected from the surface of the material being measured.
