RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 4, 2005-- Maximus has landed a contract to provide a PeopleSoft Financial System for the Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer Department (WASD) and Miami-Dade County Aviation Department (MDAD), appropriating over $17 million over 24 months. The contract also contains five one-year options to renew.
Miami-Dade County selected Maximus to serve as the prime contractor to provide software, delivery, installation, integration, customization, data conversion, training, documentation, and project management of a new PeopleSoft(R) system for both the WASD and MDAD. The Aviation Department's most important goal is to transition from current, separate divergent financial packages into a robust integrated financial management system. The Water and Sewer Department seeks to efficiently integrate financial information with projects and operational systems and PeopleSoft(R) Customer Information System.
