ROCKFORD, IL, March 11, 2005 -- Aqua-Aerobic Systems and its employees have underwritten the cost of a mobile water treatment unit to be used in the tsunami-stricken area of Indonesia. The plant is being assembled by the company's Indonesia representative, PT Envitech Perkasa.

Under refugee conditions, each unit can provide drinking water for 3,000 people per day. The cost per unit is approximately US$32,000, which includes transportation to the site and chemicals, fuel and an operator for six months. When the unit is no longer needed for the tsunami relief efforts, it will most likely be used to relieve other crisis situations or be dispatched to villages without piped water.

The unit will be named "Rockford" and will have an inscribed plaque that reads "For our Friends in Indonesia. From the employees of Aqua-Aerobic Systems, USA."

Robert Wimmer, President of Aqua-Aerobic Systems commented "Both the company and our employees wanted to help the relief efforts in some way. When we contacted PT Envitech Perkasa and they told us of the great need for water and their efforts to raise funds for mobile water plants, funding one of the units seemed the right thing for us to do."

For more than 35 years, Aqua-Aerobic Systems Inc. (www.aqua-aerobic.com) has been a leading manufacturer of waste water treatment products and systems for industrial and municipal applications. Based in Rockford, Ill., it has thousands of products and systems installed worldwide in unique operating environments for municipal, institutional, commercial and industrial applications.
