FORT COLLINS, CO, Aug. 30, 2005 -- Tillamook People's Utility District (PUD), an electric utility serving Tillamook County, Oregon, has announced its selection of Designer, Miner & Miner's integrated design solution, for increasing performance in designing and tracking distribution projects and maintaining GIS data. By enhancing operational efficiency, Tillamook PUD will better serve its 19,000 residential, commercial, and industrial customers.

Tillamook PUD chose Designer because its out-of-the-box functionality met company requirements without expensive customization. Designer also provides Tillamook PUD with a reliable open architecture that allows administrators the ability to extend, configure, and customize the system as the PUD service area grows and conditions change. Using Designer and the Workflow Manager framework, Tillamook PUD will maintain a streamlined workflow to integrate GIS with its Work Order Management System.

Tillamook PUD began data migration in August 2005, and forecasts full operation of Designer in early 2006. Miner & Miner will provide project management support, data modeling, data conversion specification, and configuration training as part of the technology transfer for Tillamook PUD.

Duane Pfeiffer, Tillamook PUD's software engineer states, "We found M&M's products utilize ESRI's proven GIS technologies well. Designer provides us with a robust design package that is highly configurable. The ArcGIS Electric Distribution Data Model is well thought-out and models our business accurately."
