ROUND ROCK, TX, Aug. 25, 2005 -- Weed Instrument, one of the world's largest supplier of industrial fiber optic converters and ethernet switches for process automation, has been accepted as an "Encompass Asia Pacific" Partner of Rockwell Automation, the company reported Aug. 18.
The Encompass program creates a path for critical information exchange and improved solutions in the marketplace by linking technical and commercial resources of Rockwell Automation and the Encompass partner. Products referenced in the program must provide functionality not delivered by Rockwell Automation products; enhance and extend the Rockwell Automation solution; support industries or applications associated with Rockwell Automation product solutions and be provided by reputable, sound companies. The participating partners must be committed to the mutual success of Rockwell customers and participate in an annual review of partnership and renewal of commitment.
Based in Round Rock, Texas, Weed Instrument (www.weedinstrument.com) has been an Encompass Americas Partner for many years. Acceptance into the Encompass Asia Pacific program will now allow Weed Instrument to offer its extensive line of Fiber Optic Converters, Managed & Unmanaged Ethernet Switches and Temperature Transmitters to Rockwell Automation customers, distributors, system integrators and original equipment manufacturers throughout the Asia Pacific region.
