GLEN HEAD, NY, Jan. 24, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- David A. Conway, president and CEO of WaterChef Inc., announced the sale of four PureSafe Water Station units to World-Wide Water Solutions, a joint-venture company formed by U.S. Microbics Inc. and C.TradeUSA Inc.

These four systems will be deployed in the villages of PortoVelo and Machala, Ecuador to provide pure drinking water for the residents of these villages. The client of C.Trade Group is a U.S.-based foundation which is engaged in the mining of gold in Ecuador.

WaterChef's water station is a self-contained, six-stage water purification system that produces up to 15,000 gallons of clean, healthy water from any source. It destroys virtually all living pathogens and handles a broad range of organic and inorganic water contaminants, producing pure water for less than half a penny per gallon. In addition to the core version of the PureSafe Water Station, the company also markets versions for ocean water desalination, heavy metals removal and the remediation of arsenic contaminated water.

C.Trade Group's Nick Kontonicolas stated, "We are happy to be involved in raising the investment money for this very worthwhile project, together with U.S. Microbics' CEO Robert Brehm. This initial investment is for the purchase of $300,000 worth of WaterChef PureSafe Basic Units. As we progress with this project, we expect to increase our initial order of 4 units to as many as 10 units."
