LONG BEACH, CA, Nov. 30, 2005 -- Earth Tech Inc., a business unit of Tyco International Ltd, and a global provider of consulting, engineering and construction services, has been awarded a US$20 million contract for the Eco Care Wastewater Project for Mangawhai in New Zealand, the company announced yesterday. This is Earth Tech's first design, build, operate project in New Zealand.

Earth Tech will design, build, and operate a complete wastewater system for Mangawhai township, a popular beach resort located in a sensitive estuary and marine environment 1.5 hours north of Auckland. Earth Tech will operate the scheme for 15 years in partnership with the Kaipara District Council, including collection, pumping, treatment and disposal of all wastewater.

"The scheme provides a long-term, sustainable solution for the community's wastewater," said Barry Norman, Earth Tech Asia Pacific Managing Director. "We will utilize our global skills and resources to ensure best practice methodology and technology is applied to the Eco Care Wastewater Project."

Jack McKercher of the Kaipara District Council said, "We have been impressed with the expertise and professional approach offered by Earth Tech. New Zealand offers tourists wonderful unspoilt beaches and associated marine activities, and our local produce is renowned for being 'clean and green.' We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership with Earth Tech to assist us in protecting this important area."
