China Evergreen gets financing to fund Chinese wastewater facility acquisitions
GUANGZHOU, China, Sept. 15, 2005 -- China Evergreen Environmental Corp., a wastewater engineering company in the People's Republic of China, has completed a private placement for $4.8 million. The placement, which was oversubscribed, was underwritten by Westminster Securities Corp. of New York, and included 161 units, each unit consisting of 200,000 shares of the company's common stock priced at the rate of $0.15 per share and a five year warrant to purchase 200,000 shares of the company's common stock at an exercise price of $.20 per share. SPOKANE, WA -- Sept. 15, 2005 -- Itron Inc. has signed an agreement with Longmont, Colo.-based Metron-Farnier, LLC, authorizing the water meter company to be a distributor of Itron automatic meter reading (AMR) technology. LOS ANGELES, Sept. 15, 2005) -- AECOM, a global design and management company, has appointed John M. Dionisio, 57, effective Oct. 1, as CEO and president, positions previously held by Richard G. Newman, 70, and Raymond A. Holdsworth, 62, respectively. Newman will remain as chairman, and Holdsworth has been named vice chairman of corporate development. Jim Royer, 59, was appointed COO concurrently, succeeding Dionisio in that role. AECOM has 22,000 employees worldwide and expected annual revenues of approximately $2.5 billion for fiscal year 2005.
