MCLEAN, VA, June 6, 2005 -- As the fall football season swings into gear, the Association of Water Technologies (AWT) 2005 Convention and Exposition won't be left out of the game.
This year's event, Sept. 21-24 at the Palm Springs Convention Center in Palm Springs, Calif., promises to be one of the association's most exciting and best-attended conventions yet. Its theme, "Keeping Ahead of the Game," is indicative of the Convention's promise to bring the latest water technology trends to the forefront. And, AWT 2005 scores by featuring keynote speaker, Rocky Bleier, former running back for the four-time Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers. A motivational speaker for the past 25 years, Bleier will parallel the challenges he faced in the past with the challenges all business people face in today's crowded, competitive marketplace.
Additionally, Speaker Robert Bagdigian, the project manager for NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center Regenerative Environmental Control and Life Support System, will give insight into the unique challenges of recycling water in a space station.
Conference sessions will touch on today's hottest topics and trends in the water technology industry, including a dynamic session on wastewater selling opportunities and the reuse of water. Attendees will also have the opportunity to attend an exhibition showcasing the latest products and services vital to today's water technologist.
The convention is the event of the year for industry professionals to network with colleagues from across the globe. Cost is $425 for AWT members and $525 for non-members who register by July 15, 2005.
The Association of Water Technologies (www.awt.org) is a non-profit trade organization representing hundreds of regional water treatment companies throughout the United States and internationally. These full-service companies specialize in the application of chemical water treatments for industrial and commercial cooling and heating systems. Founded in 1985 by a small group of entrepreneurs concerned about rising cost of product liability insurance for their industry, AWT was created as a means to provide an industry-wide insurance program. Over the past 20 years, it's grown in both size and scope, currently representing nearly 500 companies.
