RESTON, VA, June 15, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Triton Technologies announced that the company will begin demonstrating the EQUUS' E-Series of unique Vapor Compression Vacuum Distillation (VCVD) systems in the third quarter of this year. Its advanced technology can produce ultrapure and potable water from any feed water source, including seawater and wastewater. Planned sites for the initial demonstrations include locations in Utah and Mexico.

"We are excited to begin demonstrating EQUUS' advanced water purification technology," said Triton CEO Chris Zanardi. "These field demonstrations will signify our launch into the market and show the significant performance and cost advantages the E-Series provides our target customer base."

The market for ultra-pure water is expected to grow from $3 billion in 2004 to over $5 billion in 2009 and the global desalination market is expected to grow at a rate of about 10% each year to reach over $3 billion in 2010.

When compared to traditional competing distillation or reverse osmosis technologies, which are cumbersome, inefficient, and costly, the EQUUS treatment system utilizes less electricity and is readily scalable for use in multiple industrial process and wastewater treatment and desalination applications. The system is also highly effective and efficient, producing high purity distilled water with less than 10 parts per million (ppm) of total dissolved solids -- compared to EPA mandated levels of between 250 to 500 ppm.

The EQUUS' E-Series has been extensively field-tested in New Zealand and is ready for international market release. In addition to the Utah and Mexico locations, demonstrations of the E-Series will take place at multiple domestic and international sites.

Based in Reston, Va., Triton Technologies (www.triton-technologies.com) is a single source supplier of renewable and clean technologies to the global commercial, industrial, municipal and federal marketplace. Triton plans to grow through the acquisition of distributor, manufacturing and licensing rights to innovative and market-ready clean technologies that will produce significant and profitable revenue streams for the company.
