GUASTALLA, Italy, March 25, 2005 -- Saer announces the construction of a new factory for submersible motors.
With this new investment the Italian pump maker expands its manufacturing of high quality submersible motors, with current offerings in the 4", 6", 8", 10", 12" range. Additional units at 14" and 16" will be added in the near future.
"With two factories, our submersible motor division is now ready to satisfy all different inquiries. We are able to manufacture from 0.5 hp up to 400 hp with different metallurgies like cast iron, and -- for sea water -- bronze and stainless steel AISI 316 with investment casting," the company reported in a press release.
Voltages range up to 1000V with various certifications under severe testing regimens.
Based in Guastalla, Italy, Saer Elettropompe S.p.A. (www.saerelettropompe.com and www.saersubmotors.com) was established in 1951 by Carlo Favella, who left the company as inheritance to their sons. With over 50 years experience in water technologies, the Saer catalog has more than 500 different models of pumps and motors. The range of products covers different applications and includes centrifugal pumps up to150 hp, submersible pumps and submersible motors up to 400 hp. The main applications are in the civil, municipal, industrial, agricultural and domestic fields, for drainage, in fire fighting systems and in air-conditioning and heating plants.
