Ultrasound World, a conference dedicated to advancing the technology of airborne/structure borne ultrasound as it is used for condition monitoring and energy conservation. Typical applications of the technology include leak detection, mechanical analysis and electrical equipment inspection. These applications apply to most major industries, including chemical, petrochemical, manufacturing, transportation, power generation as well as facility maintenance. The conference format includes presentations, short courses and a round-table discussion.
The short courses for this year's conference include the following topics:
-- Ultrasound and Vibration Analysis Techniques
-- Compressed Air Survey: Survey and Reporting Techniques
-- Implementing an Ultrasonic Condition Based Lubrication Program
-- How to Perform Ultrasonic Inspection for Medium and High Voltage Equipment
-- Conducting A Steam Trap Survey: Planning, Implementation and Reporting
The conference is sponsored by UE Systems Inc., which is part of the UE Group of companies, which includes UE Training Systems and UE Service Partners. Founded in 1973, UE Systems, of Elmsford, N.Y., produces ultrasonic instruments for leak detection, mechanical analysis including bearing condition monitoring, steam trap & valve testing and electrical inspection. They are used in energy conservation, predictive maintenance, safety and quality assurance programs. Its line of portable and on-line ultrasonic products are used by companies both large and small representing practically all major industrial, commercial and service groups around the world.
