LAS VEGAS, April 6, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- ObjectVideo, a specialist in intelligent video surveillance software, announced a national integration partner agreement with Security Services & Technologies (SST), a FirstService company and a provider of integrated electronic security systems in North America with 15 offices, 1,800 employees and over 2,000 security systems.

SST, which provides innovative products and services for commercial, industrial, healthcare, pharmaceutical, education and Fortune 1000 clients, selected ObjectVideo® VEWTM after evaluating several intelligent video surveillance technologies. The announcement, and others listed below, was released at ISC West 2005, sponsored by the Security Industry Association and held April 6-8 in Las Vegas.

"We chose ObjectVideo as a partner due to the company's strong expertise and very specialized technology that's protecting the world's most critical assets," said John Nemerofsky, national accounts president. "This will extend SST's broad range of offerings in high-end protection and homeland security."

ObjectVideo's intelligent video surveillance algorithms, based on artificial intelligence called "computer vision," run all objects in a camera's view against threat-specific pre-programmed rules. When an object violates a rule, for example, a small boat loiters next to a ship, a bag is left unattended in an airport terminal or a shopper displays characteristics of shoplifting, the software alerts security personnel by phone, pager, email or an alert console.

"We're looking forward to working with a partner like SST, which has a great deal of experience in the design and installation of closed circuit television (CCT) for large corporations and government agencies," said Brian Eckert, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for ObjectVideo.

Customers of ObjectVideo's technology include the Department of Homeland Security's Customs and Border Protection Bureau, the Department of Defense, the U.S. Air Force, the Department of Energy and a variety of private sector businesses including the Port of Jacksonville and Port Everglades.

ObjectVideo simultaneously announced:
-- Bosch Security Systems Inc. (www.boschsecurity.com), of Fairport, N.Y., chose ObjectVideo's VEWTM intelligent video surveillance software to interface with the DiBos Digital Video Recorder and Transmission System. The combined technologies will help customers enhance overall security efforts.
-- ObjectVideo and Vienna, Va.'s IPIX Corp. (www.ipix.com), a supplier of 360-degree, immersive imaging technologies, entered an OEM partnership to bring IPIX's CommandViewTM intelligent video surveillance solutions to market. The combined technologies simultaneously identify potential threats in all directions and can pan, tilt and zoom in on objects of interest.
-- CoVi Technologies (www.covitechnologies.com), of Austin, Texas, has partnered with ObjectVideo to integrate ObjectVideo OnBoardTM, its advanced intelligent video algorithms for a DSP platform, into CoVi's CVQ-2100TM series MultiStreamTM high-definition IP cameras, the HD sensor component of CoVi's Crystal HDTM Surveillance System -- for a video surveillance solution that lowers costs and offers intelligent object detection.

Security Services & Technologies specializes in the design, installation, service and training of integrated security management systems for a wide spectrum of industrial and commercial clients. Publicly traded, FirstService is a leader in the rapidly growing service sector, providing a variety of property and business services to corporate, government, and residential customers throughout North America including community association management, security, lawn care, franchising, business outsourcing and specialized trade material fulfillment.
