WARRENDALE, PA, May 4, 2005 -- USFilter Zimpro Systems, of Rothschild, Wis., has achieved ISO 9001:2000 (with design) registration.

"Our international business continues to expand at a rate far in excess of our domestic business," said Jerry Rogers, senior vice president and general manager of USFilter Zimpro Systems. "With ISO being a world recognized quality standard, our new customers from around the globe will have external verification that our processes and procedures are consistently applied. Obtaining the ISO 9001:2000 registration is an important step in assuring we continue to achieve our growth objectives and consistently deliver satisfaction to our customers."

ISO is a series of standards for quality management systems published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The membership of ISO consists of standards institutes in 148 countries. Most of these countries have adopted and published ISO 9000 as their own national standard.

ISO 9001 is a worldwide consensus standard that contains fundamental and proven requirements, and also provides a means for organizations to achieve and demonstrate quality performance to customers and other interested parties.

The registration is important to customers looking for an independent, external verification of quality practices. Obtaining registration solidifies the Zimpro business's commitment of offering customers safe, efficient and reliable systems and services, emanating from documented procedures and quality control.

The business prepared for registration through training and rigorous procedural reviews for six months prior to the final audit, and involved all departments and employees that directly affect its end product. The four-day registration audit was conducted by a team of auditors from Perry Johnson Registrars of Southfield, Michigan, one of the largest quality system registrars in North America.

"The ISO program is very comprehensive in its requirements," said Andy Kefalonitis, vice president of engineering for USFilter Zimpro Systems. "By achieving ISO 9001:2000 registration, we are giving our customers the highest quality product possible, using a fully documented and managed system of processes to assure the quality of our systems, products, and services."
