WARRENDALE, PA, May 4, 2005 -- USFilter Zimpro Systems, of Rothschild, Wis., has achieved ISO 9001:2000 (with design) registration.

ISO is a series of standards for quality management systems published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The membership of ISO consists of standards institutes in 148 countries. Most of these countries have adopted and published ISO 9000 as their own national standard.
ISO 9001 is a worldwide consensus standard that contains fundamental and proven requirements, and also provides a means for organizations to achieve and demonstrate quality performance to customers and other interested parties.
The registration is important to customers looking for an independent, external verification of quality practices. The business prepared for registration through training and rigorous procedural reviews for six months prior to the final audit, and involved all departments and employees that directly affect its end product. The four-day registration audit was conducted by a team of auditors from Perry Johnson Registrars of Southfield, Michigan, one of the largest quality system registrars in North America.
