RESTON, VA, May 11, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Triton Technologies has entered a licensing and master distribution relationship with EQUUS Environmental of Auckland, New Zealand to sell and service EQUUS' E-Series of unique Vapor Compression Vacuum Distillation (VCVD) systems to the U.S. market.

The company's advanced technology can produce ultra-pure and potable water from any feed water source, including seawater and wastewater.

"We are thrilled to work with EQUUS to bring their advanced water purification technology to the US Market," said Triton CEO Chris Zanardi. "The arrival of the EQUUS system is great news for customers who are concerned with the cost and performance limitations of conventional reverse osmosis and distillation technologies and are looking for a viable alternative."

When compared to traditional competing distillation or reverse osmosis technologies, which are cumbersome, inefficient, and costly, the EQUUS treatment system utilizes less electricity and is readily scalable for use in multiple industrial process and wastewater treatment and desalination applications. The system is also highly effective and efficient, producing high purity distilled water with less than 10 parts per million (ppm) of total dissolved solids -- compared to EPA mandated levels of between 250 to 500 ppm.

"Triton is positioned to become a leader in the commercial, industrial and municipal water purification market in the United States," said EQUUS President Dudley Ward. "We are excited to partner with a company with such a strong market orientation and commitment to customer service and look forward to working with them to bring the benefits of our advanced technology to their customer base."

EQUUS's E-Series has been field-tested and is ready for market release. Initial U.S. demonstrations of the technology are scheduled for the third quarter of this year.

Based in Reston, Va., Triton Technologies (www.triton-technologies.com) is a single source supplier of renewable and clean technologies to the global commercial, industrial, municipal and federal marketplace. The Company's current portfolio of assets includes high-grade ethanol production; ultra-pure drinking (potable/culinary) water production; and rechargeable battery manufacturing technologies. Triton plans to grow through the acquisition of distributor, manufacturing and licensing rights to innovative and market-ready environmentally friendly clean technologies that will produce significant and profitable revenue streams for the Company.
