WILLIAMSVILLE, NY, Feb. 16, 2005 (PRNewswire-FirstCall) -- CVF Technologies Corp. and Biorem Technologies Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Biorem Inc. (which is about 35% owned by CVF), announced three recent contracts for the cities of Kankakee, Ill. Little Falls, Minn., and Omaha, Neb., for its advanced biological air pollution control technology.

The city of Kankakee has ordered two BASYSTM 44X modular biofilter units, utilizing BiosorbensTM permanent biofilter media, for the Kankakee River Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project, valued at $425,000 will control odors in a heavily-populated residential area near the city.

The Little Falls Water and Wastewater Treatment Facility in the Minnesota has placed an order for Biosorbens permanent biofilter media to retrofit an existing filter. The system, expected to be running in the summer of 2005, is valued at $365,000 and will control about 25,000 cubic feet per minute (cfm) of odor. The retrofit of an existing unused concrete structure will save the client considerable capital cost for this installation.

An additional order valued at $550,000 was received for the supply of a biofilter for the City of Omaha, NE.

"It is gratifying to see the positive results of our marketing efforts in this sales region," said Brian Herner, Biorem president and CEO. "Two years ago, we expanded our sales staff to develop coverage in the Midwestern U.S. market. These orders demonstrate that it was the right decision and we are pleased with the progress made by our sales department.

"With a reputation for groundbreaking developments, like Biosorbens, the first inorganic biofilter media, Biorem focuses on practical and affordable ways to solve environmental headaches, like foul odors."
