LINDON, UT, Feb. 10, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Electric Aquagenics Unlimited, Inc. (EAU), an innovative technology and life sciences company specializing in water electrolysis, today announced the introduction of the P-6000 Empowered WaterTM pathogen intervention system.

"This is just the tip of the iceberg", said Gaylord Karren, president and CEO of Electric Aquagenics. "We have dramatically expanded our production capacity during the last quarter of 2004. Until now, our systems were producing up to two thousand gallons per day and now have increased capacity to 6,000 gallons per hour with the use of our high volume P-6000 generator. Our engineers are now designing 10,000 to 12,000 gallons per hour system. We can now scale and customize flow volumes to support almost any commercial application and can even replace chlorine or chlorine dioxide in chillers. This is the culmination of four long years getting this technology to market, through regulatory, safety, validation testing and plant trials, to now full scale processing facilities."

Terry Willis, president of Covenant Water Systems (CWS), EAU's joint venture partner in the poultry industry out of Gainesville, Ga., said, "With this new high volume model we can now handle the needs of large poultry processing plants. The advantages over current systems include safety and efficacy as well as better economics for the processor.

"It is no secret that the poultry industry is moving away from using toxic applications as intervention steps," said Willis, "CWS is already making significant headway into our markets with the science and results we have had in recent live plant beta tests. As we had predicted we have already found numerous additional applications where our technology can be used. This is the most innovative technology to enter the poultry processing industry in my 30 years in the business."

Karren anticipates that through existing relationships with the CWS joint venture, EAU's patented technology will be adopted at over a dozen additional companies in 2005. There are more than 3,000 poultry processing plants in the United States that kill and clean over nine billion birds per year. Many more distinct intervention steps are involved in fully processing a bird; toxic chemicals are currently used throughout. While EAU's system is capable of replacing toxins at every step, to date it has only been plant tested in three of the steps thus underscoring its commercial potential. "The use of highly toxic chemicals which have marginal and declining efficacy in this segment of the food chain, should now become a thing of the past," he said.

Electric Aquagenics Unlimited Inc. (www.eau-x.com) is a supplier of technologies with numerous applications targeting a wide array of industries. The company's water-based and completely non-toxic products and services will replace many of the traditional methods and products now being used for cleaning, disinfecting, hydrating and moisturizing. EAU has solutions for existing bacteria, virus and mold proliferation threats. EAU continues to document test results in the food processing, mold remediation and carpet cleaning industries demonstrating unprecedented pathogen killing effectiveness.
