CARY, NC, Feb. 3, 2005 -- A new contract was implemented between general contractor John T. Jones Construction Co. (JTJ) and Kruger Inc., whose parent company is Veolia Water North America, for the Phase II improvements at the Williston Regional Water Treatment Plant in Williston, N.D. Kruger will be supplying their ACTIFLO Process to supply 14 mgd of drinking water for Williston.

"It was a pleasure," said Matt Cotton, Kruger's process engineer, "because all of us worked well together in a collaborative effort to save the city time and money on the project. The engineer, Deon Stockard of Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services Inc. (AE2S) was very open-minded to our ideas. Between that and the pilot work performed by Kruger, the design phase went very smoothly."

JTJ and Kruger signed an agreement on Jan. 17 for Kruger to supply water treatment equipment to the city of Williston, N.D. Kruger's equipment, the ACTIFLO Process, was included in the final plans and specifications for the project. All of the project information was prepared by AE2S.

The project has historical significance in that it is the first ACTIFLO plant to be purchased in North Dakota.

Recognized as a world leader in environmental treatment, Kruger Inc., of Cary, N.C., (www.krugerusa.com) operates as a supplier of technology and equipment for wastewater and drinking water treatment. The company is a Veolia Water Systems company.
