Ozonia expands installations in China

The City of Jiaxing, China selected Ozonia Ltd of Zurich, Switzerland, to supply a 30-kg/h ozone system as part of an overall upgrade to the Shijiuyang water treatment plant, and to reduce their chlorination use by at least one half.

The plant will be modified to use pre-ozonation before coagulation and settling, followed by main ozonation and GAC filters before final chlorination. The plant serves approximately 300,000 people. The fast-track upgrade project will be completed in early 2004.
