SEPA orders ABB water monitoring equipment

The Chinese State Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) ordered more than £500,000 (g766,000) worth of water quality monitoring equipment from UK-based ABB Limited.

The Chinese State Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) ordered more than £500,000 (g766,000) worth of water quality monitoring equipment from UK-based ABB Limited to help control pollution throughout its national river network. This order comprises four ABB AnalyzeIT Model 7976 multi-parameter water quality monitoring packages and two Model 8232 Ammonia monitors. To date, SEPA received 24 ABB packaged water quality monitoring stations, all of which are being used to collect environmental data on water quality.

These latest orders are for monitoring equipment to provide continuous on-line analysis of river water quality in the Zhejiang Province in East China and Sichuan Province in West China.
