USFilter acquired Hydrotech AB of Vellinge, Sweden, a manufacturer of water purification technology that specialises in drum and disc filtration systems. Hydrotech will be integrated into USFilter's Kruger Products of Cary, North Carolina.

VP Terry Mah of Kruger Products reports that "Hydrotech filters are popular for water reuse, and we hope to add it to our growing list of Title 22-complying technologies," he explained.

All equipment used California for tertiary treatment of municipal wastewater must be compliant. Although the title 22 law is only applicable in California, engineers in other states use it as a way of recommending equipment.

Hydrotech filters fit well with USFilter's existing filtration line.
