SUEZ wins euro 600 million water contract in China

SUEZ has won a major contract in the industry services sector worth an estimated EUR 600 million in revenues.

PARIS, March 20, 2002 -- SUEZ has won a major contract in the industry services sector worth an estimated EUR 600 million in revenues.

Ondeo has been awarded a 50-year contract from Shanghai Chemical Industrial Park in China for the design, financing, and operation of all liquid waste flow facilities for the new Shanghai petrochemical industrial park. The agreement represents more than EUR 600 million in revenues.

Suez is a services group, active in Energy, Water, and Waste Services, with a staff of 190,000 employees at work in 130 countries, generating revenues of EUR 42.4 billion in 2001, 54.6% of which originated outside the Group's domestic markets of France and Belgium.
